Things that the stock market prices more favorably than the Democrats winning an election: 1. The outbreak of Wuhan Syndrome 2. Trump launching a decapitation strike on Iran and causing a global energy shock 3. Trump declaring a trade war on “planet Earth itself.”

Rs aren’t getting noms again for 2 years, likely 4. Senate Rs have one job for the next month and it’s confirming every single pending judicial and civilian nom. ONE JOB. Maybe they could consider working Mondays and Fridays.
NEW: Democrats rammed through judges in the lame-duck Senate in 2024. Republicans must learn from their example and confirm all of President Trump's judges before January 3rd. Tell your senators: Confirm All Judges NOW. article3project.quorum.us/ca…

What?!?
So apparently the Director of Arkansas professional programs has been altering bar examination scores for several years by taking points from some bar examinees and adding them to other bar examinees

I'm thinking I'm perfectly fine with removing the Social Security wage cap. And I think we should end the carried interest tax exemption. If that is how those folks are going to vote, make the Dems defend those things.
Dear Fiscal Conservatives, I know how we can reduce the deficit

A Democratic politician beholden to the teachers unions and dedicated to stripping kids and parents of scholarships. Dark stuff.
Gina Hinojosa delivers the agenda for Public Education Texas: “On Day One, I will fire Mike Morath and we will work tirelessly to repair the damage of the Texas voucher scam - And end an era in which our schools are sold for parts:”

She may be trying to normalize what she anticipates as her own future. It would be sad if she didn't have access to the internet. Big *if*.
Notice how this Canadian doctor doesn't even mention pain or suffering when pitching euthanasia as the ideal way to die. It's framed as a solution for loneliness and anxiety. But people who are lonely and afraid deserve love and care, not hastened death.

This depends on what constitutes "good"—good in intention but terrible in practice? They've been doing that for 50 years and it rarely made a difference to the base. This generation of Dems literally can't tell the diff btwn boys and girls—how can they know what's truly "good"?

IMO Dems should pass A LOT of popular stuff over the next 2 years & dare Trump to veto. Either 1) They deliver a lot of good stuff going into a presidential, which makes them look good, or 2) It all gets vetoed, and they have a strong case for why they also need the White House.

Anyway. Corruption was a top voter concern. Which is why they overwhelmingly voted for the party that facilitates Somali federal welfare scams in exchange for harvested ballots.

The very last people in the universe who I want to hear speak ON ANYTHING -- from election analysis to how to get out ASAP from Iran -- are the people who cheerled the country into the war and delivered the resultant electoral catastrophe for the GOP. They're all: "It's not our fault! Real neoconservatism has never been tried! We just needed to war harder and now we need to fix things by ramping up the war now! You're disloyal if you say true things about the war!" They're wrong. They've done enough damage. They need to stop being listened to and platformed in any way, shape, or form.

Underrated. The only place now worth moving an HQ or big office from NY/NJ/CA/IL to is…FL Enormous boon to the coastal Dem heavyweight states
Just got off the phone with a client who was considering moving to Texas but has decided to move forward in Illinois. The biggest winners last night are the NY, IL, CA economic development teams that no longer have to compete against a red Texas.

Say a prayer for Justice Thomas (78) and Justice Alito (76) - for their health, and that they maintain the desire to sit on SCOTUS. Because there aren’t going to be any Justices like that coming to the court for years. That’s another domestic casualty of dumb foreign policy.

Understand the implications of what happened in Texas last night. Gina Hinojosa has called on Gov. Abbott to end state & local cooperation with ICE & she can order that on day one. Hinojosa voted against the 2017 SB 4 as a TX state rep. The bill was essentially a sanctuary cities ban and required TX law enforcement to cooperate with ICE detainers. She then voted against another SB 4 in 2023, which made it a state crime to cross illegally into Texas. Should there be another border crisis in coming years, there will likely be no resistance from Texas at the border. No Texas DPS, no TX National Guard, no razor wire or water buoys, and no Operation Lone Star, which Hinojosa called a “dog and pony show” and “political theater”. Remember when 15,000 Haitians surged illegally into Del Rio, TX in 2021 under the international bridge? That was only stopped because Texas DPS responded on Abbott’s orders and physically blocked further crossings by lining up their cruisers to form a wall. The Biden Border Patrol was caught off guard and offered almost no resistance, except for some horseback agents who were falsely slandered for “whipping”. Additionally, because Republicans failed to pass any legislation codifying President Trump’s border security measures, if Dems take the White House in 2028, that Dem president could, if he/she wants to, reverse every single Trump border security policy immediately upon taking office because they were all done at the executive level, and they can order Border Patrol to go back to a passive catch & release policy like we saw under Biden.

Hahahahaha, jokes on them. Now that they've elected Democrats, and inheritance that the boomers don't spend will end up in a death tax. They won't see a penny. It will all go to pay for high speed rail the never gets built and free health care for illegals.
Only 22% of baby boomers expect to leave an inheritance, and over half are explicitly planning not to, per a Northwestern Mutual survey. Meanwhile, more than half of Gen Z and nearly 60% of millennials say they’re depending on an inheritance to retire comfortably.

Knock out the ban on congressional stock trading in the lame duck session. Better to be late in doing the right thing than refuse to do the right thing. Make sure it applies to the executive branch as well.
Thank you @GovRonDeSantis ! They should have listened!

A painful read. I don't agree with 100% of how the share of blame is assigned here. But it stings and rings true nonetheless.
Every GOP strategist, consultant, and candidate should be forced to participate in a role-playing exercise this morning. Your name is Bob. You’re a 49-year-old blue-collar worker in Ohio. You’ve always struggled to make ends meet. The good jobs were all shipped to China and the few remaining pay a pittance wage, undercut by endless illegal labor. You’re a 3x Trump voter because you believed he would finally make America great again. You put your son through Ohio State. He graduated cum laude in computer science. You couldn’t have been prouder. After months searching, he landed an entry-level job at Microsoft. Beneath his qualifications, but a good start for a smart kid. Then he got laid off. That same month, Microsoft applied for 150,000 more H-1B visas because it can’t find qualified Americans. Your son has spent six months back in his childhood bedroom, sending hundreds of applications without landing an interview. On TV, Trump boasts about the greatest economy in history and how many women and minorities are finding jobs. You decide a father-son steak night might cheer him up. Gas is $4.50 a gallon. Filling your truck costs over $100. At Kroger, ribeyes are $30/lb. You settle for hamburger, even though 70/30 ground beef still costs $10+. At checkout, a fat black woman is screaming at the cashier because her EBT will only cover most of the filet mignon and lobster in her cart. You think to yourself how the Iran war has made everything expensive, but at least we’re stopping their nuclear bomb. You weren’t even sure where Iran was before you googled it after we first bombed them in March. After dinner, you take your son to the county fair. Half the people aren’t speaking English. Virtually none of the crowd looks like you. You’re forced to leave early after a “teen takeover” turns violent. A foreign born judge pledges none of them will go to jail. Back home, you turn on the TV. Vivek Ramaswamy is lecturing the crowd about American mediocrity and why Ohio needs more foreign talent. Your son grows upset. You change the channel. Now a Republican surrogate, the daughter of a governor or wife of an elderly billionaire, explains that young White men are the REAL welfare queens. They’d rather play videogames in their parents’ basements than work. Your son says nothing. He just goes back to his childhood bedroom. You turn off the TV. Then your neighbor starts blasting reggaeton and cracking open Modelos. He brought his cousin’s family from Mexico to help with all the minority-business contracts his construction firm keeps winning. Tonight they’re celebrating his nephew’s birth, the family’s first birthright American citizen. You sit alone in your living room. You worked hard, paid taxes, obeyed the law, and raised your son to do everything right. You voted Republican again and again because you believed somebody in Washington would finally fight for you. Instead, your wages are stagnant. Groceries are unaffordable. Your community is unrecognizable. Your country is fighting another foreign war. And upstairs, the son you sacrificed everything for is lying awake in the bedroom he slept in at twelve, wondering what the heck he’s even supposed to do with his life now. Every time you turn on the TV, the Republicans you elected are either congratulating themselves or explaining why you and your son are the problem. For ten years, they told you America’s future depended on your vote. Now you aren’t even sure America has a future worth defending. The Republican Party needs to answer one simple question this morning: You’ve spent a decade demanding Bob’s loyalty. You’ve given him stagnant wages, unaffordable groceries, another foreign war, and a son who did everything right but can’t find work. And when they complain, you call them lazy, entitled, and racist. What possible reason have you given Bob and his son to vote Republican? Do you honestly think you deserve their vote?
