BSF Professional Athlete | Connor Oliver (Pittsburgh Pirates) Back in-house for another offseason with us! Last week, we established his baseline force plate metrics along with motor output testing on the PT table. After a long season of throwing, assessing motor output gives us valuable insight into his neuromuscular function, force production capabilities, and potential changes in strength across different joint positions. This allows us to better understand how his body is responding to the demands of the season and establish a starting point for his offseason programming. Connor is coming off a strong 2026 season in the Pirates organization, starting in High-A before earning a promotion to Double-A and finishing with 114.2 innings pitched! BSF Athlete | Zach Hise (Free Agent RHP) Strong showing from Zach in this past Saturday’s bullpen. Great pitch execution across a legitimate 4-pitch arsenal with some impressive movement profiles. Pitch Movement Breakdown: 4-Seam FB: 18–23” IVB | 14–17” HB Sinker: 7–10” IVB | 17–23” HB Sweeper: -3 to -5” IVB | -13 to -15” HB Changeup: 3–6” IVB | 15–18” HB Fastball Velocity averages between 90–93 MPH | T94.5 What stands out is the separation in movement profiles across his arsenal, giving him multiple options to attack hitters with different shapes and movement directions. BSF Athlete | Mark Coffey Back in-house during his fall season for a midweek bullpen, focusing on cleaning up his back drive hip loading pattern and overall direction down the mound. We noticed Mark was coming set with a narrow stance, making it difficult to properly load into his back drive leg and find a consistent rhythm between his linear momentum and rotational sequencing. We made a slight adjustment to his base of support by widening his stance at setup, allowing him to feel a better loading pattern into his back hip and improve his direction down the mound. The difference was noticeable right away. Better rhythm, cleaner movement into foot strike, and improved pitch execution.
