@RSPBEngland could you advise? A local parakeet visits my bird feeders every day. It is disabled, missing an upper beak. The lower beak has grown long, unable to wear down. Ultimately this will be a problem. I fear the bird will eventually starve to death. Could I intervene?

Having let the garden grow (albeit the single path down the middle of the garden for walking) has attracted so much wildlife. It’s full of butterflies and grasshoppers at the minute. I haven’t see a grasshopper irl for a decade and it brings me so much joy! 🦗
