I worked with @drpooja_shah at @BucksHealthcare 🙋‍♀️ We’ve collaborated on work showing gender inequality and she is dedicated to making the profession a better place 🗳️ Only AiTs can vote in the forthcoming @Anaes_Trainees election but please consider lending your vote to Pooja
Hello! I’m standing for the trainee rep position for the @Anaes_Trainees I am focussed on addressing inequality in the profession and to champion initiatives that promote and benefit all trainees. Have a look at my statement to find out more about what I would bring!

Thoroughly enjoyed the start of season 2 of @BlockIt_Hot_Pod and receiving a shout out was the icing on the cake! Crowbarring GADSDEN into a legitimate acronym may be too much of a stretch for me though 😂 #bilih

Best episode yet, thank you both. Amazing to hear about admixing as little as 5mL 0.25% with the Exparel. 🎯
Our latest episode of #BlockItLikeItsHot is out This tip we talk a walk through RA options for Shoulder surgery! Tune in and have a listen to @jeffgadsden & @amit_pawa !

Replying to @British_Airways
@British_Airways Waiting for a final position letter from you after being repeatedly refused compensation for a >3h delay home from Lanzarote. Claim reference 23661502. Case handlers not reading my messages properly. Without position letter can’t go to CEDR. Can you help please?

Plus, case handlers are citing crew sickness when we were told initial problem was technical. The back and forth with the case handlers is fruitless.

An elegant way of establishing whether previous airway difficulty with older kit equates to ongoing airway difficulty with modern kit. Nice!
Pt. Previous RSI 2007. Grade 3 woken. AFOI. 3X AFOI Since. One previous grade 3 w bougie intubation . So ⬇️ #anaesthesia

A great result and the product of a lot of hard work by the whole team. A wonderful day to have my first Heatherwood list. The setup is outstanding! @FHFTexcel
Phenomenal achievement by our Orthopaedic and Anaesthetic teams at Heatherwood hospital. 76 Joint replacements done in 5 days, 56% discharged as daystay (<24 hours) of which a significant amount of Unicompartment as day case Our previous LoS was 3.6 days for THR, 4.2days for TKR.

Thanks to @Anaes_Journal for publishing the @SOBAuk response to the article by @bucksgasdoc and team which highlights the issues around airway management in patients living with obesity. It’s a regular finding in research, we need to know why onlinelibrary.wiley.com/shar… – at Lewisham, London

Phenomenal work by @VirtueOfNothing and team comparing VL to DL. Surely suggests unequivocally that if we have VL available it should be our first port of call?
1/ We just published our full @Cochrane_ACE systematic review and meta-analysis of videolaryngoscopy versus direct laryngoscopy for adults undergoing tracheal intubation. The full review is here, but first - some of our key takeaways 👇 cochranelibrary.com/cdsr/doi…

🔐In those with a predicted difficult airway, a standard approach of ‘anaesthesia induction followed by SAD/tracheal intubation’ results in serious airway complication 45 times more frequently (1 in 315). @bucksgasdoc #FreeForAWeek 🔗associationofanaesthetists-p…
