Genuine question founders…
Would you use a SaaS that keeps putting you and your product in front of new people, not once and only on launch day, but again and again and again and again...?
Would you like to "submit and forget" and let your SaaS get ongoing distribution?
That's the bit I keep thinking about.
That's why FounderBattle.com was created.
“how’s your app going?”
such a normal question. somehow i need 15 minutes and a small emotional recovery to answer it
Founder spotlight ⚔️
Lyntiq AI by @vibesoftstudio is first up in our @FounderBattle product reviews.
For anyone who keeps tweaking their website but isn’t sure what actually needs fixing first...
I explored it using FounderBattle’s own audit.
It checks your page across conversion, UX, copy, SEO, mobile and trust.
Then gives you five prioritised fixes, with impact and effort labels to help you decide where to start.
The useful part? Suggested replacement headlines, button text and descriptions you can actually work with.
You can see the existing wording beside the suggestion and decide what fits your product.
There’s also a Markdown export to hand to your coding assistant alongside your page source.
One free audit a day gives you a way to try it without signing up.
Something I’d love to see next: a before-and-after comparison showing which issues your changes resolved.
Favourite bit? Having a manageable list of next steps when your own website has become impossible to look at objectively

Starting today, I’ll be sharing quick reviews here of products that have earned a review on @FounderBattle 👀
What they do, who they’re for, and what stood out to me.
It’s another way to help founders get more visibility alongside their battles and activity in the community.
You’re putting the work into building. I want to help more people discover what you’ve made :)
Most AI apps today follow the same formula:
- OpenAI/Claude API underneath
- A cleaner UI on top
- A few prompts packaged as “features”
- Stripe at the end
That’s not automatically a bad business.
But if your only moat is the prompt + interface, someone can copy it frighteningly fast.
I wonder if Product Hunt could be replaced by another directory!!!
We all know it mostly just gives us launch day hype and nothing more…
Things that can fool you into thinking you have a business:
People encouraging you
Twitter hyping the idea
AI making the build look easy
Nice signals.
Still not a reason for someone to enter their card details.
this time last year, i had no idea what “building in public” even meant…
i’d been made redundant, struggling to find a job, and honestly had no idea what was coming next.
after spending 20+ years in software engineering, finding myself in that situation was something i never imagined…
but i couldn’t just sit around waiting.
so i started building something to solve my own problem — an app to make tailoring CVs to job descriptions easier.
i wasn’t thinking about SaaS.
i wasn’t thinking about MRR.
i just wanted to find a job.
eventually, i did.
and then i asked myself… what if this could help someone else going through the same struggle?
that’s how my first SaaS was born.
i deployed it on AWS using ECS Fargate and DynamoDB, and started marketing it on Reddit.
no audience.
no marketing experience.
no idea what “building in public” was.
just a developer trying to figure things out.
later, i discovered X and started taking it seriously…
and honestly, despite having 20+ years of coding experience, i’ve learned more about building products, marketing, distribution, and running a business in the past year than i ever expected.
one thing that still blows my mind?
i used to spend around $100/month running my first SaaS.
now it costs me less than $10/month.
same product. a fraction of the cost.
a year ago, i was just trying to find my way back into employment.
today, i’m still working my 9-5, raising a family, building products at night, and chasing ideas i never thought i’d have the courage to pursue.
i still make mistakes.
i still doubt myself.
i still have days when i wonder what the hell i’m doing.
20+ years of coding taught me how to build software.
the past year has been teaching me something completely different…
how to build something people actually want.
and i’m still learning.
sometimes the journey you never planned turns out to be the one that teaches you the most.
I have deployed my products to #AWS ECS Fargate with #DynamoDB and #ElastiCache, etc. I pay roughly £80 for the bill. How much do you guys pay? I know it depends on the infrastructure and your project's requirements, but I’d like to know if it's less or more?

Being a solo founder means doing everything yourself...
And somehow still being the person blocking your own progress
“looks great mate” is surprisingly difficult feedback to work with…
i appreciate the support. but when people say they love the idea and then never use it, i don’t know what to change.
is the problem too small? is the product confusing? were they just being nice?
Founders, let’s send each other some traffic today.

I go first, @FounderBattle - Turn product activity into ongoing distribution - FounderBattle.com
this is the kind of guy you’d always want to have around - follow Steven
I’m 33 - a former manager, a marketplace expert, a dreamer and a night owl building & hoping to reach $10K MRR.
Looking to #connect with builders who are active on X.

Say “HI” if that sounds like you 🤝
sometimes i wish i had a cofounder just so one decision wouldn’t take me all evening.
i’ll ask AI, get a convincing answer, question it, and get an equally convincing answer in the opposite direction 🤦🏻♂️
~900 followers in 4 days, 700+ of them in just 2 days…
and after 8 months on X, i still have no idea how this platform works…
i can close my laptop… but i’m still thinking about the product.
having dinner with my family while mentally fixing the signup flow. watching a film and checking whether anyone came back.
i want this to give us more freedom, but lately it’s getting most of my attention.
how do you actually switch off when there’s always something left to do?
