From @ListerLawrence . This is very sad. Small British sports cars companies have thrived in the UK for over a hundred years. And it seems all it would take to ensure that continues is a little clarity from the government. Not too much to ask is it @RachelReevesMP @Keir_Starmer ?

Just stopped at a petrol station in Oman where my colleague filled up his Land Cruiser with a 140 litre tank for £60. Back home it would cost him £280. #petrolprice

Just watched two hours of Sean Lock clips. Christ he was funny. This is a belter:
Truly saddened at the passing of the brilliant Sean Lock. His brilliance will be sorely missed. The amount of times I’ve almost wet myself laughing at him is countless. Sleep well Sean. I genuinely couldn’t stop laughing for days at this.

Went to see Bloodhound today. You may not think it, but project now in its most crucial phase. Prep cannot start for next summer’s LSR attempt until new sponsors are found. Then they need 12 months. Time is short and £8 million is needed. Help them here: bloodhoundlsr.com

All aboard! @UWEBristol @EngineeringUWE students on the way to visit the VW factory in Bratislava, Slovakia. @EngOurFutureUWE
Alas, a great idea but something we can no longer do, due to a policy of not printings notes for students…
By printing my course handout with red front covers and green back covers, all 300 of my first year students can vote simultaneously on 3-way questions during my lectures (red, green or hands in the air). I've been doing this for 20 yrs - it was my 1st ever teaching innovation.

#askupgrade one for @jsnell: I have an iMac stuck on High Sierra, an iPhone 6 stuck on iOS 12, an 2 iPad pros and an iPhone 7. Despite 110,000 photos, everything syncs perfectly atm. Will iOS 13 on the devices that can run it mess this up? What about adding an iPhone 11?

Don't just teach your students to read. Teach them to question what they read, what they study. Teach them to doubt. Teach them to think.
