Major cheat code in life: Be the one who reaches out. Text first. Call first. Plan first. Initialize first. Most people wait to be chosen. Be the chooser. Connection requires initiative. Friendship requires effort. Love requires action. Stop waiting to be picked. Start picking. Initiative is attractive.

Gen Z will not get this but one of the most valuable lessons I learned in life is that unless your limbs have been chopped off in a freak accident, you SHOW UP.
To events, social gatherings, opportunities, to dinner, weddings, birthdays. To things that are important to your friends. To life.
People used to just show up.
Part of what made communities work was this basic habit of participation. The social fabric was built from people being present for one another repeatedly over time.
I think antisocial behaviour is in large part a modern phenomenon.
A lot of it is downstream of the profoundly thyrotoxic / serotonergic nature of modern life. But we can RETVRN.
Show up anyway. Trust me when I say that most good things in life happen because you were in the room.

you aren't lost. you've just developed the habit of waiting for permission, and now you constantly want to be told what to do. you ignore the voice in your head that knows the answer until it's echoed by someone else.

Focusing on the past or the future is one of the most dangerous traps for the mind.
Because the moment you leave the present… you stop living.
You start existing in your head instead of reality.

It is a very, very bad sign that "you haven't visited enough mosques" is now an attack line against American politicians. These are the fruits of mass migration. The migrants don't assimilate to us. They demand that we assimilate and submit to them.
