Are you a nervous Democrat? This will calm you down. Or not. At least you’ll laugh.
There’s a lot of this vibe in DC these days.

God bless you, Rosco. You taught us what is like to be great. A writer's writer. A true pro. BBWAA card holder No 1. You will be missed. ❤️💯😪⚾️

Ross and I randomly ran into each other in the concourse of the Big A in September, 2021. That would be the last time I would see him. He became the dean of SoCal ball writers, has a place in the Hall of Fame and meant so much to all of us who shared a pressbox with him. 🙏🙏🙏❤️

The many World Series ads for gambling platforms don’t make me laugh any more than would ads for fentanyl.

Fifty years later, the then-Canisius High students in Buffalo cannot forget how what was pitched as a typical assembly became something of lifetime meaning: Instead of tedium, their school officers stood on stage and introduced Gregg Allman, ready to play. My column:

really? what a narrow view! Anderson did in fact write sympathetically & convincingly about girls & women; even Hemingway has a story from an adolescent girl's perspective, "Up in Michigan," that is a knockout; not to mention D.H. Lawrence, Scott Fitzgerald, Thomas Hardy & (not least) Shakespeare. if men can't write about women, women presumably can't write about men. educated people can't write about lesser-educated people, Black writers can't write about brown people, people from Maine can't write about people from Vermont, no one can write about anyone except the sickly face in the mirror.

Yeah and he's a man purporting to write about a woman's inner life. I'll pass.

thank you, Congressman Chris D:
Playing Through the Whistle is a brilliant work — one of the most important modern histories of Western Pennsylvania — about all that is Aliquippa.

Last words on Tyson doc: still waiting to hear the words “Kevin Rooney.” That said, the final episode didn’t suck.

sometimes the metaphors write themselves.
🚨NEWS: Pete Hegseth wanted a priceless World War II-era globe used by Dwight Eisenhower displayed in his Pentagon office, but instead of waiting for professional curators, his staff attempted to move the historic artifact themselves and DROPPED IT, puncturing the globe near Antarctica and breaking its mounting, according to The Washington Post. The Pentagon confirms the damage.
