True, it works. This is how I added someone to my team when there was a vacancy, although he still had to prove himself through the recruitment process.
He kept sending me reminders often on LinkedIn.
It can be annoying at times when multiple people do that, but it truly paid off for him.
Texted her on LinkedIn and told her I’ll like to join her team as I see she’s the head of settlement in her organization
She gave me her number to call her and we spoke on phone and asked why I wanted to join and after the conversation she said she understands my view
Asked for my cv weeks later and the rest is history
This has always been my template and how I’ve always taught anyone I know to look for jobs
Add them up; text them; out of 10, only 2 might respond and one of those 2 might be the one who will change your life
In between the recruitment process; I still got a rejection mail from another organization by way who told me my interview presentation was solid and gave me hope but it’s a numbers game and you have to be MENTALLY TOUGH to not allow yourself break
