Why is async context compaction not a thing?

In the age of agents, systems of record have never mattered more. They’ve also never been less prepared for what’s coming. Today, we’re announcing @attio's hybrid architecture, with the controls of application software at the scale of infrastructure. To agents, Attio looks like a database, queryable in SQL - a language they're RL’d on. Unlike a database, the business logic, policies, and compliance sit behind the query. This makes all of Attio’s data accessible by agents in the most powerful and flexible syntax. It gives GTM teams an order of magnitude more value from their time, with the full power of agents working across the entire customer lifecycle. A new shape of software is here. attio.ai/architecture

Is there a term for the sheer exhaustion from reading AI generated text (or code for that matter)? I propose “slopdrain” but I’m open to ideas

A month later and I still haven't adjusted. 5hr limits are the worst thing ever invented
The sheer sadness of adapting to working within weekly token limits. The $200/month plan really messed up my expectations here

Still blown away by how fast this is chatjimmy.ai/ - it is not smart but it’s still incredible to use

Unfollowing just a few loud people on here has suddenly made the whole experience on this platform way nicer. Turns out that just because someone has a lot of followers it doesn't mean they're worth listening to. Who knew?

Another day burnt configuring inscrutable services with three-letter names. Shame on everyone involved in this.
After using nothing but Cloudflare for a year I'm working on a client project that needs to use AWS and jesus christ I cannot believe people live like this

Prediction: “starter templates” are going to see a resurgence because the difference in output quality in a well-structured code base is night and day compared to having the LLM start from scratch

It's remarkable that these text generation machines, trained on basically all of the internet and all of human literature are still so terrible at generating good quality text. Great at code and terrible at prose, no matter the model, it's all so recognisably AI.

Excellent, now please support this for the rest of CF too. I think it's the main concern holding back bootstrappers from using CF at this point

It's nice how despite the companies fighting each other, no one can stop the engineers at Vercel and Cloudflare from being best friends.

having both of these next to each other is really silly. Why do I need to choose between recording and transcription, and what's the effective difference? Unclear.

Cynic news (a from-scratch strict-only ECMAScript engine): - Temporal landed — all 3885 test262 fixtures pass - New regex engine Perlex landed: 2–3× faster than libregexp; will fully replace it soon
