Seeing a great deal of what Boris Johnson has suggested in my timeline, the idea that Kirk represented mainstream opinion/common sense.
His murder is appalling. But this is nonsense.
Some of his views
-Profoundly conservative on gay rights. Didn’t believe in gay marriage. Said being gay was an “error” and compared to drug addiction.
- didn’t believe in abortion in almost any circumstances.
-called for a ban on all trans gender affirming care.
-he spread falsehoods about voter fraud, Covid and other conspiracy theories.
-suggested he opposed birth control and had very traditional views on women and how they should live their lives.
-claimed the Great Replacement Theory was UK government policy.
None of this could ever justify any violence. It is a matter of fact that his views were nowhere near mainstream. He clearly relished debate and was very influential. But in some cases, in many cases, his views were extreme.

Pensioner earning 35k a year, paying no NI/student loan, receives c.£30,500 a year after tax.
Graduate between 2012 and 2023 earning 35k a year receives c.£28,100 after tax, NI, student loans.
The former is £200pm better off and will receive WFA in addition.
