MRT 3 will be privatized.
Now issuing VISA should also be privatized?
Outsource visa processing? The DFA says not so fast.
It rejected Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla’s proposal to strip the department of visa-issuing powers, arguing that approving or denying visas is a sovereign government function, not a clerical task that can be handed to a private company.

Cyberlibel only serves the rich and powerful. How can you speak truth if they can silence you with the law?

BASIC SERVICES SHOULD NEVER BE PRIVATIZED!
Bakit pa tayo nagbabayad ng taxes if they're just stealing them and making basic services private?!
The Department of Transportation (DOTr) is pushing through with the private turnover of the Metro Rail Transit Line 3, aiming to award the MRT-3 concession by the second quarter of next year. tiny.cc/i8fc101
Yeah. Something is definitely fishy here. It's like expelling them or closing them is something the Chinese wants us to do.
Something feels off. A Chinese ambassador is deliberately breaking major diplomatic protocols to insult us and seemingly daring us to expel him.
Why? Are they setting a trap?
Japan faced worse remarks before but never expelled its diplomat. Do they know something we don't?
Mr. President, if you can send Duterte, Quiboloy and Romualdez to jail, declare POGO illegal and have them shutdown, assert our sovereignty against Chinese aggression then you can most certainly send this arrogant, insulting, crude and insolent alien back to his country of origin.
I have witnessed and thus know that you have what it takes, Mr President. But if you don’t use it, you lose it.
Send this poor version of a foreigner, this hooligan back home.
How can we convince the world that the Philippines is capable of defending our territories from an invading superpower if our own government can't even deal with a fugitive and his "powerful" goons? Pathetic.
Now this is how you respond!
If they insist on showcasing their brawn to intimidate us, then we Filipinos need to outsmart them with our brains. Diplomacy and "diskarte" can be weapons too.
I gotta be honest. I didn't know the Prosecution had that dog in them.
A dog named Machiavelli.
UPDATE: Presiding Officer Francis Escudero tells the defense team it no longer needs to present evidence on the three withdrawn impeachment articles (Articles 1, 3, and 4) after the impeachment court accepts the prosecution’s manifestation to withdraw them.
Escudero says article 3 is deemed withrawn without prejudice against the respondent since the prosecution did not present or deduce evidence under this.
The withdrawal of article 3 is limited to the trial alone.
Escudero rules that articles 1, 3, and 4 will not be submitted for the senator-judges' vote. The respondent will not need not to present evidence in defense of these three articles. The sub judice rule will also no longer cover the withdrawn articles. #VPOnTrial | via @victoriatulad

I thought our story about Nanay Sita was over after the documentary aired. For months after, her neighbor kept sending updates—some hopeful, others not.
I never planned to write about them again, but the story was difficult to put away.
Pasensiya na, this is a sad one.

Am I glad that the Discord Ban was lifted? Yes.
But we must not forget how willing the DICT and CICC are to throwing the Filipino people under the bus for their half-assed, performative solutions.
I am glad the online Filipino community stood on business when it mattered!

Discord Ban has been lifted?

I survived Discord PH Ban 2026
It’s confirmed. Discord has officially been banned in the Philippines.
Confirmed by CICC chief and expensive-scale-figures-displayer Renato “Aboy” Paraiso.
Ban will only be lifted if Discord establishes a local headquarters. Digital and online workers be damned!
Apparently, CICC didn't know Discord is being used by people outside of gaming. Akala nila for gamers lang!
If this is true, then the government banned Discord without knowing all the facts! WTF.
Why are we paying taxes to people who don't know what they are doing?!
BREAKING: The Discord ban has apparently been lifted!
