Cardiologist spots an “alarming trend” of women in their 30’s starting families with palpitations, chest pain, and fatigue while “trying to sludge through their day.”
Cause?
“Having kids and working so much” is “causing all this stress to their heart.”
He says his first reaction is: “to not give them medications,” just 20 minutes of “me time” that is “magical.”
This is exactly how Long Covid gets dismissed.
Just saw a post on FB by a nurse giving helpful tips on how to word things when you see a doctor & its really irked me
The post was fine (despite obvious AI assist), the tips were fine. Things like differential diagnoses, functional capacity, activities of daily living etc

– If only there was something we could do.

ALT A black-and-white cartoon in a loose sketch style by @waysidescribbles. Two people stand on a wooden pier looking out at calm water where a person is struggling and calling for help. A life ring hangs on a post on the pier, and a coiled rope lies nearby. One of the standing figures looks out and says: 'IF ONLY THERE WAS SOMETHING WE COULD DO.'

Remember folks, if the propaganda looks stupid to you, you weren't the target. I really, really need folks to understand this. All because YOU wouldn't fall for it doesn't mean you won't fall for something aimed at YOU. #HeadOnASwivel :)
"Sex based rights" has always sounded so wrong and it finally hit me, it sounds like states' rights. I guess parental rights is the same thing. Trying to create rights around power, not it's absence.

Today is my aunty's birthday. She died last year from COVID. Twice infected at church, the second time fatal. We didn't agree on a lot, masking and COVID safety included, but I loved her and miss her very much.
It is such a minefield, an even nice staff make weird assumptions about how much you know and understand without having it explained. Like weirdly bad doctors who have no idea what to assume and what to explain.

We condemn the political threats made by Opposition Leader Jess Wilson on Sunday and reject her misleading connection between protest of Israel’s genocide and the horrific Bondi attack. Protesting a livestreamed genocide is not antisemitic. Our release: jewishcouncil.com.au/2026/10…

Look Australia
If you want to know why Americans from all sides of the political spectrum must push back on data centers, look no further than what Google just did to Finland.
Google skipped required environmental assessments and illegally clear-cut 815 acres of pristine forest.
Over 250,000 mature old growth trees were cut down. Habitats destroyed. Wildlife run out of the area, and into nearby villages searching for food.
Worst of all, because the entire operation was illegal, the wood from the site cannot be sold or processed. So 800 acres of old growth forests destroyed needlessly in just months, for one Google data center.
Donald Trump criticized Google for the project, not because of its destruction, but because he wanted the data center built here in America.
This is the future of our beautiful forests, national parks, and public lands in rural communities all across America, if we allow this administration to continue with this lawless destruction. VOTE. 🗳️
