ALT Apo walks up to a door with a suitcase in her right hand and a leash in her left. She knocks on the door. It flings open, and Cherri launches herself at Apo, who catches her with a laugh.

ALT Apo pushes Cherri back. “Careful! I could’ve hurt Truffle! Cherri has a confused look on her face. “Who’s…” She looks down and gasps. Heart-eyed, Cherri crouches down to look at Truffle, offscreen. “Oh, please tell me we’re keeping her!” Apo replies, “Why do you think I brought her back?” Cherri whirls back around to face Apo. “And you’re early!” She clasps hands with Apo. “We can spend the winter together! And go to my friend’s Halloween party!” Apo smiles awkwardly. “That’s a bit-“ Cherri continues, “Ahh I’ve missed you so much!” She lifts a hand to rest her cheek on. “I wish I could’ve gone with you. The peace and quiet, the great outdoors, the cute pig companion…” Apo looks down. “I don’t know if it was really that-“ Cherri looks at them questioningly. “Never mind. I don’t really want to talk about it right now.” Apo shrinks in on herself, right hand clinging to her left arm.

ALT Cherri approaches Apo, and places a hand on their arm. “It’s okay, we have plenty of time.” She wraps Apo into a hug. “I’m just,” At Cherri’s neck, Apo unsheathes her fangs, “glad you’re back.” Apo’s eyes flash open. She bolts up from bed in a panic. She was sleeping. In the dark of her room, Apo lets her head fall into her hands.
