We tend to think in extremes when self-auditing
- You don’t need a new shiny object to make money with, you need to do more of what got you to $10-20k/mo
- You don’t need a new fitness routine you need to be consistent with the one you have
- You don’t need to completely cut-off unhealthy foods, you need to consume in moderation
- You don’t need to stop playing video games, spending money, going on social media, etc. Just LESS
This eliminates the false binary.
It’s not did you succeed or do you fail. It’s a spectrum. To what DEGREE did you succeed or fail
And when you eliminate the false binary you’re less likely to crash out because the negative self-talk you’re accustomed to when you “fail” is less extreme
Imagine your life as a compass.
