The similarities between these two characters become more apparent on the second watch, particularly the evil “nice” guy.
Sometimes movie magic just hits at the right time! We have a year of film with:
The Odyssey, a tale as old as time getting its massive adaptation by one of the best directors ever. Filmed entirely on IMAX 70mm, a stacked cast on location with amazing practical effects, some of which i’m confused on how it was made (Cersi).
You Can See Everything, a 3-hour documentary half being filmed years ago that none of us knew about. Mixed in with another half of just a remarkable blend in unique documentary filmmaking. All while the focus being Nathan Fielder and Elizabeth Holmes, two humans who have felt they spent whole lives building towards this. And it’s shot so, so well.
Wildwood, an amazing stop-motion epic spectacle. 16 years in the making, because they were waiting on the technology and about 6 years in production, this is hard-worked and handcrafted so gently. Some scenes in this movie my mind still wonders how they pulled it off, while encompassing an amazing story.
If anyone needs a new reason to see Wildwood!! Get your tickets this week!

Kids should not see this movie at all including teenagers because of the gayness and communist ideology. I know Portland is a trash place. That just makes the decision to put it in Portland a bad decision

A new poster for ‘BLADE RUNNER 2099’ starring Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer has been released.
Premieres November 25 on Prime Video.
I knew Wildwood was based on a book, but I didn’t know there were two more entries in the collection!! @LAIKAStudios Y’all got any sequel ideas? 👀

The third act battle in Wildwood is truly exceptional on all levels. There’s so many “how on earth are they doing this?” moments.
That’s the magic of cinema right there.
It’s as if Laika studied the battles from The Lord of the Rings and applied a similar rhythm to theirs.

You just gotta have the sauce

Genuinely how else are you supposed to shoot a scene of 20 different important characters in one room. Like be for real
