I #WearOrange for my beautiful son Alex Teves & all victims of GV. Alex was shot & killed in a Aurora movie theater while shielding his girlfriend from harm. 12 killed & 70 wounded that day by a mentally unstable individual who should have never been able to purchase firearms.

Please RT. I encourage the @POTUS to #MeetWithManny @manueloliver00! #HonorWithAction #EndGunViolence
Today I spent all day waiting to speak to someone from the WH, and I “temporarily” failed. How many more shootings? The answer will only depend on our actions. Now It's my turn to say ENOUGH! Starting tomorrow I will only accept @POTUS to receive me.

I encourage reporters and advocates alike to learn about the @NoNotoriety campaign. It was created by Tom & @carenteves to change media practices and remember heroes, like their son, Alex, and not the shooter. #NoNotoriety #EndGunViolence @bradybuzz bradyunited.org/podcast/epis…

This #WomensHistoryMonth, we commend incredible work of @carenteves
As founder of @NoNotoriety, Caren has challenged way the media covered mass shootings and -- by denying shooters infamy they crave & placing focus on lives, families, & communities -- changed public perception.

My husband John lived by a code: country first. We are Republicans, yes, but Americans foremost. There's only one candidate in this race who stands up for our values as a nation, and that is @JoeBiden.

Donald Trump called our fallen troops "suckers" and "losers."
They can't speak for themselves, but these 6 Gold Star families speak for our fallen.
Here is their POWERFUL message.

We are not willing to sacrifice 1-2% of New Yorkers.
That’s not who we are.
We will fight to save every life we can.
I am not giving up.

My mother is not expendable. Your mother is not expendable.
We will not put a dollar figure on human life.
We can have a public health strategy that is consistent with an economic one.
No one should be talking about social darwinism for the sake of the stock market.
