Comets lead 17-14 as we head into the 4th but Argylls have the ball and are driving. On the Comet 41 and a 1st down. Buckle up. Here we go
Mappin with the 22 yd FG to start the half after a promising drive stalled inside the 5. Comets lead 17-14!
Comets answer with 4.8 left! Huge completion to Owen Chapman and then Logan Mollenkopf takes in from 4 yds out to tie it! 14-14
Argylls strike on a 69 yard TD pass right down the seam after the Comets had forced them to punt. But an illegal substitution penalty kept the drive alive. 2pt good. 14-7 MG. 1:59 left in the half
Argylls answer and capitalize on a huge 4th and 17 conversion. PAT is no good. 7-6 Comets. 7:07 until half
And just like that Comets find pay dirt. A 36 yard run by Woolever down to the 8 and then an 8 yard TD run by Bowyer!! PAT good. Comets 7, Argylls 0. 11:47 left in the 2Q
Both teams struggling to move the ball against each other. Maybe 1-2 first downs a piece. Comets just picked up one on their 3rd series to end the quarter. Our ball on the Argyll 44 #sectional43
Congrats to you, Logan! Huntington is getting a great player and fine young man! 💪🏼🫡⚾️
Excited to announce my commitment to Huntington University. Thank you to Coach Frame and Coach Mokma for giving me the opportunity to become a forester. #Committed
