Thanks to @PTHospice colleagues who are working this Christmas and my thoughts are with the people who need their support today.
We’ll continue to support our patients and their families & carers over Christmas, on our In-Patient Unit, through our clinical nurse specialists, who are on the phone for those who need them, and our Hospice Care at Home team, who visit those spending their last days at home.

Proud to have represented the brilliant work ⁦@PTHospice⁩ at #HUKConf22 and celebrating our responsive approach to patient need. And being mind blown by the resilience and innovation in other hospices.

As a Geriatrician and a fellow human, what an example of positive ageing & and what a way to go; at home, with family, comfortably, quickly and enjoying life up until your final days. What a woman.

Oh @BBC - Please use your D-words. There is dignity in the language of death, used with compassion & kindness. Let's give that dignity to the Queen. Those closest to her are not resorting to euphemisms. Neither should you.
