Needed to have a tyre inflated and got directed to a closed general store in town centre. A passerby phoned the owner,who’d gone to his field, and told me he’d be back in 15 mins. #islandlife ##Mayotte I’m home 🥰

Am speechless,Twitter. Landlady and an electrian arrived unexpectedly at 8am. He was about to leave 8h later. Landlady told him to return to my flat to shower! And that’s why there’s a strange man in my bathroom.

Best thing about new flat has to be the 3 verandas. Too hot now at 7am for the first one so have moved to third one. Tried getting to smaller second one and door came away in my hands. Other entrance is covered in tarpaulin, cyclone Chido damage 2024
