In 2020, there were over 6m Americans abroad eligible to vote – most of whom lean Democrat. But only 14% voted (up from 8% in 2016).
This year, the votes of U.S. citizens overseas could be critical in battleground states that will be decided by 1%-2%. (In 2020 Biden won Georgia by approximately 12K votes and Arizona by 10K votes – both states received 18K votes from abroad.)
And when it comes to Texas -- where Colin Allred is down just 2% to Ted Cruz -- the votes of the 86k Texans abroad could be the margin of victory.
Join us tomorrow to learn how U.S. citizens can vote from abroad and how you can help us reach more of them over the coming weeks (there are 30 states allowing electronic voting from abroad and those ballots become available Sept 21).
See you soon!
.@BetoORourke will be joining us on our Americans Abroad for Harris-Walz Zoom call! Sept 5th at 12pm ET.
Will you?

After spending some time with @BetoORourke, I truly am reinvigorated. I mean here is a man who gave his all to get elected and still came up short. But he and Amy are still fighting for other blue candidates this cycle with even more passion. We must never get complacent.

In case you need more Beto to give you hope here was the inspirational speech he gave to our current statewide candidates. Let’s rally the troops around Collin Allred and all democratic candidates and turn Texas blue. It’s up to us folks!

We knocked on a record number of doors yesterday!
Can you knock on a few doors on your street to tell your neighbors about my candidacy? It takes just a few minutes and makes a HUGE impact.
Send me a message if you're interested! #elpaso #itselpasostime #eptx
