Imagine not destroying books (including rare ones) to scan them like it's happening today to feed AI, just because some dumb US laws favor that method or it's just quicker.
We've been getting a lot of questions lately about how the Internet Archive digitizes books.
The short answer: page by page, by hand.

Doing missions on Fortnite Save the World is so slow, going from / to Fortnite BR lobby is making people quit. No wonder the numbers of StW players were never this low. What a mismanaged game, had great developers & designers, amazing ideas, but Epic Games can't stop ruining it.
Epic Games isn't a good company, but Fortnite has more changes in a single season than Mojang did for Minecraft in a decade. Now that they report to new Xbox CEO I guess they need to work harder.
Just look at Fortnite StW player numbers, lower even after becoming f2p. So many people are quitting, it's simply to annoying and time wasting to play a few missions. Now it's clear to many that the game will not grow, the company is becoming worse too year after year.
the state epic left stw in before going on summer break is genuinely insane and i cant pretend like its not
- constant disconnects when returning from missions
- absurd loading screen loops
- mission and quest rewards being delayed by days
- so many issues with hestia/homebase i cant even list all them here
- some people cant even queue into stw and just get errors every time

Fortnite is down (invitation/matchmaking) for quite a while and Fortnite Status says all is Operational.

Cannot enter Fortnite Save the World, this problem is happening more and more. Looking at current number of players it's obvious there is a global issue. Fortnite Status says that everything is Operational, which isn't true.

Cannot login to Fortnite, keeps logging me out. Also seeing error like: Failed to compose cosmetic items from Locker Service. Pity that Epic Games fired the guy that always quickly fixed these issues, even on weekends.
Fortnite Save the World is so slow now, because of Hestia UEFN experience. I wonder when we will be able to make it optional and get old StW menu back, the gimmick got old and stale really fast. Also, BR matchmaking is bad, I'm often sent to BR lobby after Fortnite StW mission.
Just weeks after Fortnite Save the World became free to play, instead of increasing number of concurrent players I'm seeing the opposite. More people are moving on, I also rather play games from small studios. Epic Games deleted SSD Endurance bases and developers ignored problem.
And remember the pay rate on these maps, Creators get a very small cut. Completely not worth it, dedicate yourself to other better things!

Fortnite's main account promoting a clueless video from a repost account that has 906 Following 42 Followers, 21:1 ratio. Peak social media by Epic Games, can't stop catching Ls.
This company had everything but they squandered most of it on bad management mistakes. They have a "we know better" attitude, and they are also master gaslighters, many previous supporters now can't stand this company and how they treat people.
There has been a gradual decrease of views & interest in Fortnite content over on YouTube that I've noticed for the past year or so. And it's across ALL channels, big, small and even Fortnite's channel itself.
Especially with the start of Chapter 7, Fortnite's seasonal launch trailers fail to even surpass a couple million views anymore, it's really concerning for this game and as a creator myself.
I feel like a lot of Fortnite creators have noticed this too, but not too many have spoken about it because the vast majority of us thought it would pick back up again but it hasn't. It's slowly decreasing more and more.
I think a factor of it may have to do with Fortnite just not doing the best when it comes to marketing the game anymore on YouTube. There's just less effort being put in which is upsetting.
People just seem to be losing interest with Fortnite and it doesn't help that right when things were sort of going well, the layoffs happened. Things overtime begin to pile up. Whenever Fortnite usually has something good going on nowadays, unfortunately something bad usually follows and I feel like that could also be a contributor to why people are losing interest.
When it comes to games mainly, if a high is unable to properly last and must constantly be met with a low over and over again, people begin to become exhausted which leads to disinterest. In addition to that there's also just burn out.
There's definitely more reasons to why people are disinterested and views are decreasing, but I just wanted to mention this and I hope Epic can pay some more attention to this growing problem.
