Celebrations are now under way to commemorate Alister MacKenzie's visit to Australia exactly 100 years ago. This evening, a piper serenaded the 5th hole on Royal Melbourne's West course, the one hole he saw completed before he left.

Memories of the opening of @TheAddingtonGC's renovated par-3 7th earlier this year. @mikeclaytongolf's comments on its 95-yard long green and his response to being told that the front right bunker to a front right pin position was too tricky (with the member responsible's sand wedge and ball).
20 years ago, @mikeclaytongolf and his colleagues undertook a comprehensive renovation of RACV's course in Healesville, Victoria. Due to adjacent residential development works, we are on site making changes to three holes including this, the 18th.
