A TV channel interviewed George Mustas, Bob Uecker’s childhood friend and went on to say that Pat Murphy isn’t the only one getting messages from Ueck. I actually got one the other day. I asked:
George: How’s it going up there?
Bob: He said great. I got some good news and some bad news.
George: What’s the good news?
Bob: We play ball everyday up here
George: Well what’s the bad news?
Bob: you’re pitching tomorrow.

I may post this throughout the 2027 CFL season: the changes in field dimension are NOT intended to boost scoring. They are about creating more scoring from touchdowns and less from field goals. Adding 1 TD a game and subtract 2 FG’s is basically a push on scoring.

I continue to be baffled that so many see a game with 3 downs, unlimited motion, 12-players aside, no fair-catch, 65-yards wide and one-yard off-the-ball as “Americanized”.
GOOD-BYE 55 - This week marks the final week in the CFL regular season which means it will also be the final time we see a couple unique features of the league, that will go away next year due to incoming rule changes.
