Thousands gathered on London's Regent Street on Thursday evening for a spectacular fireworks display as the famous shopping street welcomed the festive season.

After the incident, Ms E was in pain, she said she had to sit on an ice cube tray, and bled for several days. She left London to stay with her parents, and went to a sexual health clinic there, terrified Brand might have given her HIV.
The nurse gave a written statement, which a prosecution lawyer read aloud in court. In it, the nurse recorded that Ms E told her Brand "had anal sex without a condom and she didn't want that and didn't consent to that."
She was one of about 25 disclosure witnesses the prosecution called friends, colleagues, her manager, her parents, her ex-boyfriend, and the nurse to show Ms E had told the same account, to different people, starting right after it happened. Each of them described her distress when she told them.
she went to a clinic. What exactly else do you expect? What evidence do you need?
Christmas in London, always fabulous.
Regent Street’s famous Christmas lights have been switched on, and with Bonfire Night fireworks lighting up the sky, the evening feels even more magical. ✨🎆🎄

1 in 4 women in the UK have been raped or sexually assaulted since the age of 16
6 in 7 rapes against women in the UK are carried out by someone they know
5 in 6 women who are raped in the UK don’t report it to the police
Fewer than 3 in 100 rapes recorded by UK police in 2024 resulted in someone being charged that same year
It is an abhorrent crime committed by cowards. Every perpetrator put in prison is a blessing.

⚠️Demonstration Alert –Demonstrations and protests continue to occur in Spain. While some demonstrations have been announced, including on October 31, other protests are spontaneous. Last minute changes can happen and may occur outside planned routes.
Local authorities may increase security measures, including road closures, traffic restrictions, or increased security presence in areas where the demonstrations will occur. U.S. citizens should avoid demonstrations and areas of unrest. Stay away from areas with large crowds or significant police activity. Even peaceful protests can turn confrontational and escalate into violence.
Actions to Take:
- Avoid demonstrations and crowds.
- Be aware of your surroundings.
- Follow local media for updates.
- Be prepared to adjust your plans. Plan alternative routes and allow extra time to travel.
- Check for road closures on @DGTes
- Notify family and friends of your safety.
