Either Alonso is completely clueless or he's an undercover Scouse agent. There's no other alternative but either way that lineup is enough for me to call for his head

I'm not Alonso out yet, but Saturday was strike 1. Don't make today strike 2

Been reflecting on this for hours and I still can't get my head around it. I don't consider myself anything more than a regular fan, I don't go deep into tactics but how can I see this and he can't?
I want an explanation from Alonso why Quenda started over Estevao and why Welbeck wasn't brought on

4 years into this ownership millions spent again in the summer and I'm supposed to be happy with top 4, get fucked. Challenging is the bare minimum. This loser beta mentality is exactly what's wrong with this club
The goal this season is CL football and a domestic trophy. That's very achievable. 65 points got Villa 4th place last season, with 11 defeats. In 8 games we've won 4, lost 3 and drawn one. Over a full season, that's 62 points, which was 5th last season. I think we'll improve over the season (as well as adding Alex Scott). So I think by the end we'll be close to 68-70 points - which was always the most realistic expectation this year. 20 wins, 7 draws and 11 defeats gets you 67 points (enough for 4th last year). I think we'll win at least one more and lose one less than that, hence 70 points is achievable. We WILL have more defeats like today, the improvement of our consistency and mentality will take time. But we'll also have better performances and wins, and hopefully become more consistent over the season, and maybe win a domestic cup. Progress is step by step, with ups and downs - it'll take time to be title challengers.

Not finding a way to incorporate Estevao is also piss poor. Playing Quenda ahead of him is even worse

He won't be sacked yet, but I'm hugely underwhelmed and disappointed. He was the only appointment I was optimistic about and he's been the least encouraging. 20% possession, conceding the most shots and goals. We play like a relegation side with a decent front 3 bailing us out

I'll give Alonso Liverpool and United. Lose those and I'm Alonso out

Madrid aren't stupid. There's a reason they're the most successful club. They knew he was a dud

If we continuously end games with 20% possession and face the most shots in the league how is that not down to the manager?

I was more encouraged by Graham Potter's start than I am with Alonso

Any good football we've played this season has come from individual brilliance from the front 3. Tactically we're a mess. We get dominated, finish games with 20% possession, there's no clear gameplan. I've seen enough. Get him gone

All on Alonso this. Shit tactics, shit selection, shit subs. We were lucky to be level at half time and he still didn't change anything

In 5 seconds Estevao did more than Quenda did for 70 minutes

Can't understand how Alonso is watching this and still hasn't made the obvious sub

Couldn't tell you what Quenda has done today. Literally playing with 10 men. Picking him over Estevao is piss poor

Lucky to be drawing because that was woeful

Bit of a slap in the face for Estevao
