First CFB rankings are tonight. A key unofficial factor is which teams are most deserving. This is a great example on why you shouldn't use power ratings for playoff selection because everything he says is correct, but the results on the field have to matter.
I have BYU just outside the top 10 of power ratings BUT they are 1st in my resume score after their ND win.

We are seeing significant compression at the top of CFB this season, but before you run out an ascribe it to your favorite potential cause it's important to note:

Based on the stats the games produced, Texas had a 77.8% chance of going 2-0 against OU and Florida and a 1.2% chance of going 0-2. I commend the Horns for expanding our statistical horizons and showing us amazing things are possible in the world.
