My latest rant on substack.com where The Joy Of Football is in writing. Surely I wasn't the only @ChelseaFC supporter to cheer on January 1st when it was announced that Enzo Maresca had left by mutual consent

Eduoard Mendy wins his second AFC Champions League.
He is the only goalkeeper to have won the Champions League in both Europe and Asia.
Mendy has also kept clean sheets in seven of the major finals he’s played in, including both AFC Champions League wins with Al-Ahli, the 2021 Champions League with Chelsea and the last two AFCON finals with Senegal, despite Morocco being awarded a 3-0 walkover afterwards.🇸🇳

To be clear what happened here.
Israel bombed a hospital.
They waited for paramedics and first responders to arrive.
Then they bombed it again.
This is known as the 'double tap'.
You are watching unfathomable evil, armed and facilitated by the West.

Heartbreaking scenes from Al-Bureij refugee camp in #Gaza today, where an innocent child flees from intense Israeli bombing. The world has tragically failed to prevent this genocide, but we must not fail to stop it.

Just watch the traffic on the road. Didn't stop even for a sec. No vehicle trying to veer away from the bombing. This is more tragic than scary.

Heartbreaking:
Today, some people from my city of Beit Lahia tried to return after the israeli tanks retreated hundreds of meters.
These two people were going back after they picked up some stuff (from the video it looks like clothes) they left behind before they were hit in an air strike.

Imagine someone in 2014 - when MbS was the barely known nephew of the Saudi king, Trump was The Apprentice guy, and Al Sharaa was an Al Qaeda leader - telling you this photo would be a thing in 2025
