you’re laughing…. a bunch of boomers who fucked the next generation over to sell their homes at a 7400% profit and then used the money to buy a ticket for an eternity cruise are now broke and stranded in a Cambodian port town notorious for human trafficking, and you’re laughing
Passengers have been kicked off an “endless” cruise as the operator blames a massive jump in fuel costs Some paid $120,000 for residency on the Villa Vie Odyssey, but have been left in Cambodia

🇨🇦 Canada has a strange economy. Your house is worth a fortune, but your salary can’t afford one. Your government collects more taxes, but somehow runs bigger deficits. Your population grows, but living standards struggle to keep up. Your bank reports billions in profits, while Canadians struggle with mortgage payments. Politicians celebrate GDP growth while ordinary Canadians wonder why they’re getting poorer. Canada doesn’t have a shortage of wealth. It has a growing problem turning economic activity into prosperity for ordinary Canadians. And that’s the number Ottawa doesn’t like discussing. @wealthmoose 🍁

Work just pushed a policy mid-shift without informing anyone that we have to give location services on ADP to clock in/out and now no one’s able to because it’s not even working anymore.

Almost everyone in their late 20s and 30s is having a quarter-life crisis because the previous generation wrecked the economy, priced us out of adulthood, and now treats us like failures for not owning a house or car that once cost a few years’ wages, not a lifetime of debt.

Actually, different salaries should only affect how luxurious your life is, not your food quality or ability to afford rent. If you work 40 hours at any job, your income should be enough to live in the town you work in. Thinking otherwise is an abysmal indicator of your humanity

You know what? Maybe the mapping on it's not so bad actually. Gotta see if this saves or not though.

You have to hand out candy that doesn’t have nuts in it now but most candy is made with child slave labour and I kind of feel like that’s a little bit worse than little Timmy getting a chocolate bar he can’t eat

HOT TAKE: Sorry if this offends any homeowners but I’m actually rooting for the housing market to crash HARDER than 2008. Not because i want people to lose their homes. I want to see $700k houses become $450k houses. I want first-time buyers to stop getting priced out by investors, flippers, and people sitting on 3 properties. I want housing to become something normal people can afford again. Call me crazy, but watching home prices stay artificially inflated while wages barely move is getting RIDICULOUS.

Being employed and unable to afford housing should radicalize everyone.

They call it a cost of living crisis. But when companies keep raising prices while reporting record profits, it starts to look like a cost of greed crisis.

Previous Prime Minister said he would let in 200,000 immigrants in the span of 5 years or such. He let in 2million immigrants in 2-3 years. The people he let in are criminals, petty criminals, thieves, rapists, gang bangers, drug dealers and people who take advantage of our housing, food pantries and other free systems. A very low percentage of them are good and an even lower percentage of them actually provide something; literally anything that isn’t negative. So our housing issue turned into a crisis and is now critical and probably about to crash. Boomer parents are not helping their kids as they age out of the house; being more narcissistic, bullying, demanding and entitled than ever before. All while insulting us based on “lack of education” “lack of financial independence and control” “lack of respect for our elders” “being too lazy” and “no one wants to work anymore” The immigrant crisis has also caused a rise of specifically owned restaurants to pop up; being local smaller restaurants being taken over by Indian restaurants. Jobs are very much the same where once there is an Indian manager, the only people they hire is their own kind. No more white employees, no black, Hispanic, Muslim, Jewish, Asian, etc. Which also affects kids, teenagers and young adults from getting their first time jobs, even minimum wage jobs, getting the job experience they need for future employment opportunities and overall lack of job experience and security. Which also means they earn basically no money and have no way to move out of their parent’s basement. So at the risk of your mental health and wellbeing, you are forced to live with them longer. There is also an insane turn over rate here for healthcare. We need doctors, healthcare experts and providers, nurses, and professionals so badly. People are waiting years to get seen, emergencies are waiting hours to the point of permanent injuries happening due to long wait times or even people dying while waiting. And don’t get us wrong, healthcare people are being paid good. But they are way way way way!! overworked and overwhelmed and burn out fast, to the point they quit. So we have more jobless people and less staff in our healthcare sector. Oh, and our rent is extremely high. Our groceries only cost more and more. It’s cheaper to buy both food and gas in the USA right now; also housing AND in the USA we might have a $300k medical bill but at least we will leave the hospital walking and not in a coffin. Oh, and cherry on top. Our old prime minister that did this all to us? Who fucked us so badly? Who fucked 40million Canadians so badly our 5x removed grandchildren will feel our pain? He went to the USA to party and live it up with his new girlfriend; Katy Perry.
