North Somerset Council will ensure that no child goes hungry this half term. We'll work with the many community organisations and businesses who've stepped up to provide support to make sure that no child in need goes without support. #ENDCHILDFOODPOVERTY

‘12 yr old thug arrested for drug running’. Why does the headline read that way?
Why doesn’t it read ‘12 yr old boy rescued from drug gang’?
Why does our language so often promote condemnation rather than compassion?
@Oasis_UK is planning to change that!

There’s no fair way of putting on the 2021 exams. Not all students will have spent equal time in school. Not all students have equal access to space, peace, the internet and support at home. Let’s not further disadvantage the disadvantaged. Instead let’s Level up. Here’s how...

In over 25 years of ministry, I’ve found that those not in the kingdom have rarely opposed any mission idea, vision or endeavour. Nearly all obstructive behaviour or opposition has come from within. We need to talk more about friendly fire and equip leaders to handle it.

We need a ‘National Master Plan for the Continuity of Education' that covers home learning, possible rotas, exams and funding, now! For the sake of every child - especially the most disadvantaged - we cannot just meander into the long cold months of winter hoping for the best.

We can get all pupils back in full-time school this September if we accept 2 key principles:
1. A school is NOT a building, it’s a learning community
2. Full-time education does NOT necessarily require every pupil being in the same building at the same time

Matthew 5:1–5
In Jesus’ inside-out, upside-down kingdom, the least and the last are welcomed first, foolishness outwits wisdom, peacemakers conquer, and it’s those who are broken, empty and suffering who bring healing to others.

Alcohol has never been cheaper and alcohol related hospital admissions have never been higher. We support the Welsh government's proposal to set a minimum price per unit on alcohol. We are calling for minimum pricing in England too.

Teachers, have a gr8 year. You hold among the most significant roles in #Bristol. A teacher wrote something in my report that flipped my world. Met him 25 yrs later. He didn’t remember writing it. You may never see/experience the harvest, but know you are sowing hope every day MR
