Hi @iPullRank ever since reading your article on use cases for vectorization (way back) I've wanted a Chrome extension for quick page analysis. I finally made it: chromewebstore.google.com/de… - not built for your scale, but wanted to share as it was inspired by your article. Cheers.

The progress China has made in renewable energy just THIS YEAR makes the entire rest of the world look like it's standing still. I wrote in December that to call China the "world leader in renewable energy" was a colossal understatement. That’s even more true today. Thread 🧵

Just got back from first trip to China since covid. Still plenty wearing masks, but all restrictions are now a distant memory. As fast as they adopted zero covid policy they've now abandonned it thoroughly. Also, holy shit the EV market is booming in China.

Stories about how chatGPT will kill Google are a bit silly. Google have the best full stack LLM team and infra with custom chips (PaLM, LaMBDA, Chinchilla, MUM, TPUs etc) Nobody can bet them on innovation, cost or go to market. Institutional inertia is only limiting factor.

NZ Twitter, anyone know if there's a co-working space in Wellington that does a day pass? I need a desk tomorrow afternoon in Wellington (and ideally a private spot to Zoom).

Can’t complain about the view from my office. A dusting of snow in the alpine last night.

Quick life update, I'm moving to Queenstown. Currently in Turangi as I make my way south, ETA middle of next week. No change on work front, just relocating to make the most of my non-work time :)

Moving out of the house I've been in for the last 9 years. Just ordered a second 9sqm skip bin. Moving is a royal pain the ass, but it sure is liberating to get rid of all the crap and cruft we collect over the years.

Just booked first international flights in over 2 years, albeit just across the Tasman. The fully flexi fare option was about+50% for each leg!! Was this always the case? I really don't remember.
Worst nightmare.
