Today is a mathematical date we won't see again for 78 years.
10/24/26
10² + 24² = 26²
It's called a Pythagorean Triple Day. There are infinitely many Pythagorean triples, but only 12 dates this century satisfy the equation.Today is the last.
Next one: March 4, 2105.

Cornell University, explain this.
These four gross grown-ass men reportedly deciding writing a fucking essay was an appropriate consequence for a 7-hour long gang rape.
Hold the students AND the adults accountable.

We are aware of the recently filed lawsuit regarding 2024 sexual violence allegations. Our statement: statements.cornell.edu/2026/…
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
While Cornell claims to take sexual violence "extremely seriously," a lawsuit alleges the accused were offered essays to mitigate discipline. Plaintiff's attorney says only two were expelled. No criminal charges; DA found insufficient evidence.

THIS SHOULD BE NATIONAL NEWS
The story has been public for more than a week, and I can’t find a single national TV report. Just local coverage.
Why?
REPORT: A female Cornell student alleges she was pressured into taking ketamine and then sexually assaulted for hours by multiple Chi Phi fraternity members in 2024.
Cornell investigated. Only two members were expelled. Chi Phi is barred from operating on campus. No criminal charges.

People forget how badly and quickly Kubernetes ruined Docker and Mesosphere. I’d be on red alert if I were a sandbox provider.
🥳 Excited to start revealing what we've been working on in the last few months. First, we decided to reinvent Kubernetes for agentic workloads with statefulness and fast resumption. Secondly, we are building an agentic orchestrator that will be Google's open agentic orchestrator and runtime. github.com/google/ax

Anthropic is unilaterally committing to the first of these steps. We’ll provide third-party evaluators with permanent, employee-level access to our systems, so that they can verify adherence to our safety measures, report on incidents, and assess models’ alignment during training.

This was post 9/11 on Oct 30th. For those of you who didn’t experience 9/11 - words can’t describe the impact, fear, confusion, and anger.
Bush needed to throw a strike. It might seem small, but to many this first pitch meant a lot - especially in NY.
25 years later, the eve of 9/11 still has me thinking of the lives lost, the first responders (absolute heroes), the aftermath, and beyond. The anger rages just like it did 25 years ago.
Never Forget.
