“I started working full-time when I was 15 and once I started, it was, ‘OK, this is my life now.’ But the other side of it was, ‘This is all I’ve ever known.’ And I think it took me, really for the first time, taking a step back and being like, ‘Who am I? What am I? Do I have a favorite color? Do I have a favorite anything?’ I realized I didn’t really know anything about myself, and so I had to sit with the hard truth of like, ‘Who am I at night when everyone leaves and no one cares that I’m Charli D’Amelio,’ you know?”
