yeah guys uhmmmm I want you to know that whenever I complain about the whole Marinette and the lie situation or whatever I'm NEVER going to agree with that stupid "get rid of Marinette and make Adrien the protagonist" take. sorry, but no, not here. I'm never advocating for erasing Marinette from the narrative. The foundation of miraculous is female empowerment (even if there are some things that... well, aren't exactly handled very well) and it always will be, the only thing we've ever fought for is for Adrien to be recognized as a character with agency and not just a plot device

my biggest fear is that the resolution of the lie plot and everything will be something like:
Adrien: "Oh, I'm so sorry, Marinette... It's all okay now" *doesn't cry, doesn't get angry about being gaslit, doesn't seem affected in the slightest*
and not because I'm invalidating Marinette's pain (god knows I'm not) but because the show has a tendency to invalidate Adrien's pain and only use it as a plot device to torture Marinette
Respectfully, I disagree. Yes he loves her so much but he can still be upset with her like we saw in Heartfixer. With a lie that big that even escalated into him believing Gabe was a good person, I do believe boundaries are crossed with this one.
