Robots shouldn't need to be fine-tuned for every new task. Introducing Runtime (YC F26). We're reimagining robot policies: explore in simulation, then act in the real world. Watch it thread a rope. No fine-tuning. No teleoperation.

Prospecting tools are useless if nobody is ready to buy. That's why we built Clean. The world first AI that predicts which companies are ready to buy, right now. Here's how it works:

Every day this week, we're launching a new feature @GrepdotAI to help you automate the work that's slowing down your business. 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮: 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗽𝘂𝘁𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗝𝗲𝘃 Customers often ask why our agents don't attach confidence levels to their recommendations. My answer has been that LLM confidence levels don't mean much. The model writes a number after the answer, predicting what a confident-sounding score looks like, with a bias toward making humans happy. RLHF pushes models overconfident. Decision models like Jev by @typesafeai change that. You declare the options up front. Jev returns a probability for each one in a single pass, plus a confidence score derived from how concentrated that distribution is. TypeSafe trained it with RLCD, which rewards calibration instead of rater approval, so decisions at 0.9 should be right about 90% of the time. In Grep, you can now build agents that use frontier models for the research and diligence, then hand their findings to Jev to make the final decision against your criteria. You set the threshold: above it the agent acts, below it a human reviews.

RSI for robotics
Verbal reinforcement learning is very effective for improving agentic performance on benchmarks, but we wanted to test how this transfers to robotics. We ran GPT 6 Astra, Gemini Argon 4, and Fable 5.1 on the LIBERO benchmark, and then iteratively developed skills which significantly improved performance. Full results linked in the comments

Same model. Same task. Different skills. 0/20 → 8/20 successes through skill refinement. The model isn't the whole story. How you use it matters.
Frontier models like GPT-6 Astra and Gemini Argon 4 can control robots, but how much does the harness around them impact performance? We used our Nomad-Harness to test Gemini Argon on LIBERO tasks to test if text based skills could help with harder tasks that require more manipulation. We iteratively refined the skill with a critic agent reviewing failed attempts. Across 20 initial states per task, Argon’s native success rate improved: • Bowl into drawer: 0/20 → 17/20 • Mug into microwave: 0/20 → 8/20 These results show that reusable text instructions can improve robot control, and they also transfer between models, with improvements also shown for GPT-6-Astra and Fable 5.1 with the same skill.
