Take time to breathe. The world is obsessed with anger, rage and hate. It’s driven me away from this platform. Friends, family and time outdoors. Nos da.

Fallen moon & all her starry, shattered pieces … a celestial sparkle on the grass, a trough’s water reached & summer’s meadow hay delivered in armfuls. The frost-needle seeip from redwings & the ratcheting chakker of fieldfare, pulling the moon back into up the sky.
I've not had much time for writing stories and blog posts this year. But here is the first of a new set of stories on my website. This is called "The Rhythm of rainfall" - essentially its about an obession with the first snowfall of winter!

In terms of #snow in the #breconbeacons the central Beacons, certainly have the best covering, I would say 550m plus. The Black Mountains appear to have missed out, the Carmarthen Fans, a thin layer, looking at contours around the 550 mark.
Definite snow line on the central beacons. Although there is a lot of low cloud around. Would guess its around 650m #snow #breconbeacons
Perhaps one of my favourite Autumn photographs in the #breconbeacons this year.
Well, I was out for a meeting, seemed rude not to take a few snaps on the way back. #breconbeacons

11 years ago today Gary Speed took his own life. Bryn Laws was his best friend and this Sky Sports interview is absolutely heartbreaking. Don’t forget to check in on your friends and family ❤️👇
Are there any reliable snow records for the Brecon Beacons? Can anyone point me in the right direction for an accessable archive?

This man is such an inspiration to us all, and a deserving recipient of the 2018 Award for Character. He was a giant on the field for Scotland and very much a giant off it as he tackles motor neurone disease through his My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.
