Everyone is roasting this card shop over the %’s they pay and completely missing the best part: they printed the sheet and taped it to the counter (& posted on FB!) Mad Props to these guys! 👀You don’t like it, don’t sell to them. But here is the reality of buying cards right now that nobody complaining in the comments wants to talk about: Labor kills margin on low-end: A $5 card at 40% is $2. After eBay fees (~13%), shipping supplies, and the 10 minutes it takes to comp, photo, list, pull, and pack it, the shop is working for pennies—assuming the price doesn't tank before it sells. If you want to handle that for a few extra % points, do it! Look at the bottom line in their caption: "We have also had a massive increase in volume of people selling us stuff." That’s the real signal here. When the counter gets flooded with sellers and inventory piles up, cash becomes king and buy rates drop. That’s basic supply and demand. I’m seeing the same thing on my end…LOTS of folks trying to unload modern over-printed junk… I wouldn’t touch it for more than 60%. Liquid still gets paid: They’re still paying 70–80% on $500+ cards and 70% on sealed Pokémon because that stuff actually moves without eating 40 hours of staff labor. That’s strong and it takes ZERO work on the customer’s part. You don’t have to sell your $10 cards at 40%. Go list them yourself on eBay, deal with the shipping, eat the fees, have 5% of your packages damaged/stolen, and wait 3 weeks for your money. Or take the instant cash across the counter. Either way, respect a shop that tells you the numbers to your face…that’s what they need for their business. RESPECT.

So it turns out that Ukraine's issues with Starlink were caused by Ukraine. Starlink terminals disconnected at speeds above 160 KPH, as determined by the Starlink terminals internal GPS. To get around this, Ukraine hacked the Starlink terminals to think they were stationary regardless of speed. SpaceX figured this out, and updated the system software to detect excessive speed by seeing how rapidly the terminal switched from on satellite to another. This broke Ukraine's hack, and Starlink would no longer work at high speeds. Ukraine was using Starlink in a way that violated the terms of service. Starlink figured it out and stopped it.

🚨BREAKING: Miami-Dade Sheriff Rosie Cordero-Stutz detailed how she saved taxpayers about $33 million by skipping new uniforms, a cold plunge, massage tables, and logos on everything. She said the office was paying the county $54 million a year for IT services. Closer supervision and review brought that down to $42 million, a $12 million annual savings without cutting services. Moving toward managing its own technology independently is projected to save another $6 to $7 million, bringing the total IT savings to $18 to $19 million a year. Eliminating the county’s Sergeant-at-Arms program will save about $4.1 million annually and return those deputies to patrol. Keeping the existing brown uniforms instead of switching to green avoided roughly $4.8 million. Updating graphics on about 1,700 white vehicles instead of repainting them avoided another $5.7 million. Those two decisions alone account for $10.5 million. Buying office supplies directly from the county’s vendor saved about $200,000 a year. Fuel rebates, maintenance discounts, and scheduling changes add more. Together the quantified items total approximately $32.8 to $33.8 million in savings and avoided costs. The sheriff’s office spokesman has also pointed to the uniform and vehicle decisions as part of the rebranding from a police department to a sheriff’s office without the full cost of new colors and paint. Sheriff Rosie Cordero-Stutz says her office has already cut or avoided roughly $33 million by keeping the old brown uniforms, not repainting the cars, trimming IT costs, and dropping the Sergeant-at-Arms detail. She says the savings are real and the work is just starting.

A message to grown men: if you go to a club hosting a Latin music DJ, and you dress nicely (dark pants, button up shirt, jacket), don't wear white sneakers! You stand out like a turd in the punchbowl. Wear black leather shoes This isn't hard.
