A huge congratulations to @ZimCricketv Chairman Tavengwa Mukuhlani on his appointment as Deputy Chairperson of the @ICC until November 2027. He is the first Zimbabwean to hold this position a truly significant milestone for Zimbabwean cricket. This is bigger than an individual achievement. It represents the country’s growing voice & influence within the global game. It comes at a particularly important time as Zimbabwe prepares to co-host the 2027 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup alongside South Africa & Namibia. Looking at this picture today brings back a special memory. Exactly one year before I was appointed to lead Corporate Affairs at the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority, I was on stage as MC at the Harare International Carnival completely unaware of what lay ahead. My time at ZTA deepened my appreciation of tourism, destination marketing and the power of national storytelling. I also witnessed the growing momentum behind domestic tourism and Zimbabweans discovering their own country. As we celebrate Tourism Month, I salute everyone in government, the private sector, hospitality, media and communities who continues to build & promote Destination Zimbabwe.
