What’s happening in the market
Since last night, the crypto market has dropped sharply. The cause is a security incident at Binance: large amounts have left the exchange’s wallets, estimated by analysts at several billion dollars.
Binance is investigating, has temporarily paused withdrawals on several networks and says user funds are safe. Meanwhile, Tether and Circle have already frozen part of the withdrawn funds in USDT and USDC.
The news triggered a wave of selling and liquidations. Bitcoin has fallen more than 5% and is now trading around $77,000, and most other cryptocurrencies are down too. At times like this, volatility is especially high, and leveraged positions carry the most risk.
Events like this have happened in crypto before, and the market has come through them every time. Right now, it’s important to rely on verified information and avoid making emotional decisions.

Nigeria's nutrition space is currently the subject of an attempted hostile takeover sponsored by US billionaire Bill Gates.
Speaking on News Central TV on Friday 23 October, 2026, Dr Segun Adebayo, Executive Director, Centre for
African Policy Research and Advisory (CAfPRA) raised the alarm surrounding a contentious new bill backed by Gates, which has been smuggled through 2 readings at Nigeria's House of Representatives, with the final reading planned for Monday 26 October.
Whereas legislative bills in Nigeria typically spend weeks or months going through their first, second and third readings before being submitted for presidential assent, this bill, which has the full backing of Gates' extensive institutional influence in Nigeria, was reportedly rushed through its first and second within a few hours of each other, with a planned timeline for passage before the end of October 2026.

340 engineers from India, and we have millions of engineering graduates in Nigeria screaming no jobs? This should be one of the biggest blows to Nigerian universities offering Engineering as a course.
We complain that there are no jobs, while the jobs are constantly being outsourced to foreigners.
The sorting, admission racketeering, lack of practical-based learning, and fraud in our universities have consequences.
This is one of the reasons we are doubling down on our efforts in the South East.
