Hello! I want to address this because I was not initially aware of what happened, and I don't want anyone to think that I am ignoring the concern. First, I genuinely appreciate the people who came to me about this respectfully and raised their concerns in good faith. I know these conversations can easily become hostile, but many of you chose to approach the situation thoughtfully, and I appreciate that. You are allowed to be upset, ask questions, and bring concerns to me. I would much rather you come to me directly and respectfully than let assumptions and anger continue to spread. The admin/s being referred to came to me directly, acknowledged what happened, and apologized. We have spoken about it, and I have addressed the issue with the people involved. We have also made clearer boundaries around unreleased information moving forward. I understand that some of you may feel that the people involved should also make a public statement. However, I don't agree. I am aware of what happened, I have addressed it with the people involved, and appropriate boundaries and actions have been made clear moving forward. So I want to ask everyone to please separate holding someone accountable from attacking them. You can disagree with what happened. You can be disappointed. But please don't use that as a reason to bully, harass, or publicly shame anyone. These people have been with me since 2022/2023. We've been through a lot together, and I know them beyond what you see from their roles in this community. That doesn't mean I will excuse a mistake. If something was done incorrectly, I will address it, and they are responsible for learning from it and respecting the boundaries I've set moving forward. But I also won't allow one mistake to erase years of knowing and working with these people, or become an excuse for others to hurt them. As for me, I take responsibility for making sure that my team understands what information is private and what can and cannot be shared. I will be more deliberate about those boundaries moving forward. I understand why this upset some of you, and I appreciate those who trusted me enough to bring the concern to me respectfully. I've heard you, I've addressed it, and I hope we can now allow the matter to rest. Please let us move forward with the same respect and care that I hope we can extend to one another.
