ALT Dear Fantasy NWSL managers, With the regular season now wrapped up, we’ve made the difficult decision to close our NWSL fantasy game after two seasons, following the close of our WSL game earlier this year. Unfortunately, that means the game won’t be running for this year’s playoffs. We started this with so much love, passion and big hopes for what fantasy gaming in women’s soccer could look like on both sides of the Atlantic. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to secure the support from brands and organisations needed to keep it going sustainably. Across four years of investing our time and money in fantasy women’s football, we’ve learned so many lessons and hit milestones that would never have been possible without you along for the ride.

ALT On a personal note, working on this project has been the honour of a lifetime, especially in the NWSL. I got to add legendary players to the game, women who were the first I ever saw play this sport and who made me believe this beautiful game is truly for me, and for everyone. It really has been more than a game, and it has been an experience I’ll never forget. We’re disappointed not to be continuing. But one day the league will ask, “Is it worth investing in an official fantasy game?” When that happens, we hope it can look at the thousands of you who played and say, “Yes. There’s a community out there that’s proven it’s ready and waiting.” We’re proud to have played a small part in showing what could, and should, be built for a fanbase that loves this sport, these teams and these players as much as you do. Thank you for playing the game. For believing it it with us. For now, we’re going back to being just fans. — Dani Gonçalves Co-Founder Even Sports
