Yesterday I had a patient say something that really stuck with me.
“As you keep walking in your purpose, arrows will come your way. Some will hit. Some will be hard to pull out. But just keep moving forward. God put the dream in you for a reason.”

Dear residents
It’s an honor to do what we do: meet pts where they are: cure some; comfort many; care for all. But this job is heavy. Make sure you train w/ folks who support you in the grief that can come w/ caring so deeply
Dear faculty
It’s ok to let your trainees see you cry

This is what happens when grades are tied to performance rather than intent to learn. I feel like med students would learn more, be less afraid to ask questions, & not fear making mistakes if we knew our faults wouldn’t put our future in jeopardy 😶. #medtwitter
Why has there been more grace extended to us as interns than what was given to us as medical students? Make it make sense! 🙃

It's time for the narrative to change and for us to catalyze the shift in the culture of medicine. We are three medical students on a mission to inspire. Join us on this adventure and learn for our shortcomings as we embark on this journey to medicine! Welcome to @MEDnBlack!
