Xavi Espart, the 19 year old (usually) RB/CM who’s the latest of Barça’s La Masia products, scored his first La Liga goal this weekend, and has currently played the most minutes out of any defender or midfielder (mainly at Left Back) in the league this season for Barça! 🙌🏻

“There’s a big scramble now. Everyone has realised that, yes, £1m or £2m sounds really expensive as a fee when you sign an academy player, but they just have to be Championship level or above and you could make a huge profit. It’s a business within a business.”
The uneasy truce is over between the biggest academies in England.
For many years, there was an unofficial agreement between the big clubs in the Premier League that they would not try to sign players from each others’ academies. It was an agreement that was occasionally violated, but the ‘Big Six’ co-existed relatively peacefully.
Now, no player is off the table.
The Athletic has spoken to dozens of sources inside English academies and at player agencies to find out what is happening in academy recruitment and why there has been such an upsurge in players moving between big clubs.

Motherwell and St Mirren fans both displayed banners yesterday calling for a £25 cap on away tickets.
An away ticket for Rangers v Motherwell was £39 and for St Mirren v Celtic was £37.
Too many supporters being priced out of the game.
It's time for clubs to listen to fans!
Big weekend of 🇪🇸 football ahead as I’m watching games at @CD_Eldense , @cfhercules & @elchecf plus the possibility of some regional matches as well! 🙌🏻
Today I have spent the same amount of money to watch Kidderminster in English non-league as I have to watch Eldense in the Spanish second division, disparity in football prices at home and abroad are mad 😬
