Elon Musk on how to make AI safer and actually pro-human:
“Artificial intelligence will be smarter than the smartest human. At which point, any invention is possible”
But there’s also a small chance AI could kill us all
So what matters most is how we train it
• Make AI as truthful as possible
• Make it maximally curious
• Train it to be honest even when the truth is unpopular
Because if AI is genuinely truth-seeking and curious, he believes it will naturally want to foster humanity rather than work against it

I think this is worth doing
ELON MUSK: AI competitors should peer review each other’s models before release.
“I would recommend that we at least have some sort of informal weekly or biweekly call and that there’s maybe a week or two weeks of early access by competitors. This is why I think the incentives work, competing companies are likely to understand if something is a security risk and they’re not going to be shy about highlighting that their competitors’ models should be delayed in release.
The incentive structure does work quite well there. It’s similar to how the Motion Picture Association works as an industry group that decides how movies should be rated. That seems to have worked quite well. You really just have to ask the government to intervene if a company is doing something very dangerous and refuses to take action to reduce the danger.”

Replying to @wmorrill3
The side repeater camera was updated - the version on the left is the newer part which uses passive geometry to create airflow disturbance that better keep water off the lens while driving. No cost penalty, just pure vision improvement.
Photon count reconstruction FTW 😎
With @Cybertruck, we introduced & scaled many automotive firsts
48V architecture: 4x lower current that enables thinner, lighter wiring
True Steer-by-Wire with no mechanical steering link, enabling variable steering response
Combined with rear-wheel steering, this also brought coordinated front + rear steering for greater low speed maneuverability & high speed stability
Structural stainless-steel exoskeleton: allows exterior panels to carry structural loads, resulting in far higher torsional stiffness
Full-hard stainless air bending: forms ultra-hard exterior panels without damaging the visible surface
Etherloop: gigabit vehicle network that eliminates ~70% of cross-vehicle wiring
Starlink
BREAKING: SpaceX and 4iG sign a first-of-its-kind European partnership to expand @Starlink Mobile across four countries.
The agreements were signed in Bastrop, Texas, by 4iG CEO Gellért Jászai and SpaceX President and COO Gwynne Shotwell.
• Starlink Mobile will first launch in Hungary and Albania with apps and messaging, connecting people in remote areas
• It connects directly to LTE-compatible phones without dedicated satellite equipment
• Next-generation Starlink Mobile V2 will expand to Montenegro and North Macedonia, delivering high-speed broadband directly to phones
• It will keep customers, public services and critical infrastructure connected during emergencies and terrestrial network outages
• SpaceX and 4iG will also introduce Sovereign Solutions for secure government and national-security communications
Jászai called it a “historic partnership,” while Shotwell said it will deliver “resilient direct-to-device connectivity” across Hungary and the Western Balkans.
FSD Supervised can drive you for over 25,000 miles without you having to touch the wheel
Congrats @DavidMoss on being the first Tesla owner to cross 25,000 miles on the FSD streak counter! That's equivalent to one full lap around Earth, or two years of driving for the average American. Pretty wild.
The confetti celebration also came back after it last appeared for him at the 5,000 mile streak milestone haha.
