The Revenge of Shinobi for the Mega Drive (Sega/1989). Action platformer where you play as the ninja Joe Musashi, battling the Neo Zeed crime syndicate with an acclaimed soundtrack by Yuzo Koshiro ( 古代 祐三 ).
1st time I saw the musician name in the title screen (well deservedly), left an impression! Overall, it's a stellar and action-packed early title for the system.
