Going on two hours now — the St. Louis Board of Aldermen continue debating rules for the new session. A whole lot of time spent trying to get to the bottom of erroneous claims made by a retired journalist who said credentials rules would’ve barred him from the floor.
Many thanks to the Poet Laureate Task Force for the time spent to revamp this effort for St. Louis City.

Special taxing districts, like CIDs and SBDs, allow residents to address hyperlocal needs through levying additional taxes. Historically, the City has lacked a comprehensive strategy on how to organize, monitor, and efficiently use special taxing districts to maximize their impact.
On Wednesday at noon, the Special Committee on Special Taxing Districts will meet to investigate issues and discuss a more proactive, transparent, and accountable system. 🔎
Residents are invited to attend in-person at City Hall or virtually using the link in my bio.
This is my kid and I could absolutely not be more proud of her.

Great opportunity to get a start in the green jobs industry in STL. #greenjobs #Sustainability
The words from the delegates and the music they chose. I'm laughing, crying, inspired, and ready. Even my teenage kids paused. This is a moment. Haven't felt this since 2008.
