and we've gotten used to handing all of it to servers we will never see.
that habit exists because the best models live in data centers, so using one has always meant sending your question somewhere else..
@boar_app tests the opposite idea.
it's an open source Android app that keeps a small model and a library of about 5,300 Wikipedia based articles on your phone
so after a one-time setup download, it can answer with no signal and you can add your own documents to it as well.
the model is small, about 1.5 billion parameters, and the documents i read admit it's good at simple questions and slips on long ones.
it works like an open book exam, because the app searches the library on your phone, the model writes the answer from what it finds
and it shows you the articles it used, so the question never has to leave your hand for you to get something useful back.
what it shows is that a private question can be answered by a device in your own hand, and that nobody should have to choose between a useful assistant and a private one.
exactly why we need to hear every part of the story
Iβve seen the posts accusing me of being behind a $21k theft, sending a malicious game file to drain people, sending men to Aaliyahβs familyβs house and being involved in a robbery against her 2 years ago . None of this is true and I want to answer each claim.
1. I had no hand in any robbery against Aaliyah, 2 years ago or at any other time. No evidence connecting me to it has been shown.
2. The package, I didnβt send it on my own. A mutual friend (Whizz girl) asked me to help send a get-well gift and asked me not to say who it was from until Aaliyah had received it, because the two of them were on bad terms. The plan was to help them reconcile and I hoped that if they got along again, we could all work together and learn from each other in web3. I had no other motive.
While Aaliyah was upset about the rider and the package, I was messaging Whizz girl back to back while trying to keep Aaliyah calm till she received the package. Chats attached.
The package was never sent from me, I was just a link between them.
Also, Aaliyah, never sent me her house address, she only gave me a landmark so I dunno how βthey found her houseβ.

i don't think we should dismiss Sorsa Score ofc it can be useful for understanding your position within crypto's social networks, and it may influence how people perceive my/your account.
but I wouldn't make it the centre of my growth strategy either.
i'd pay attention to whether the people discovering my account have a reason to remember me beyond seeing my name in their followers list.
