I'm on Twitter since more than 15years, before the joker who came to power and renamed it with a stupid letter
But now I believe it's time to quit, I won't be part of this shenanigan any longer
I will keep taking the piss out of nuclear peddlers on Bsky

There is no "nuclear energy renaissance": Not going to happen. But the noise slows decarbonization by diverting capital which would have been much better spent on a faster deployment of renewables

So, you want me to believe that you voted for a racist, rapist, convicted felon, business fraud who incited a deadly attack on our Capitol after losing the last election because of the price of eggs?
That you voted for the orange-dipped dude who ran with a different VP because the last one was nearly hanged for not breaking democracy, because youāve been getting fewer hours at your job these days?
You want me to believe that you voted for someone who nearly every economist in the world has said will grow our debt (which he did by the third largest amount ever the last time), increase our costs, raise inflation and destroy our GDP because a burger and fries at Five Guys is more expensive than it used to be?
You want me to believe that you voted for the drink bleach guy who golfed while thousands of Americans were dying a day because you had it so much better then, when you were stockpiling toilet paper, than you do now?
You want me to believe that you voted for the guy who had 4 years to pass an infrastructure bill and didnāt, the guy who promised Mexico would pay for the wall when they didnāt, the guy who promised to bring manufacturing back, lower the cost of prescription drugs and end the opioid crisis but didnāt, because you preferred his āpoliciesā?
You want me to believe you voted for the āgrab em by the pussyā guy who wants to destroy the Department of Education and to repeal the ACA despite the fact that he has nothing more than āconcepts of a planā to replace it, the guy who will roll back environmental protections, strip women and minorities of more rights, the guy who will hand Ukraine to Putin and Gaza to Netanyahu, the guy who has said he will be a ādictator on day oneā, because youāre worried about losing your gas stove?
Iām sorry, but I donāt believe any of that, and frankly, Iām not sure you believe it either.
Because the truth is that your vote wasnāt about any of that.
You voted for the traitorous embodiment of the 7 deadly sins because when it came to casting your ballot for a Black woman, you just couldnāt do it.
And because you like getting away with being your worst self.
And because life is a whole lot easier to stomach when all that has gone wrong for you, is someone elseās fault.
Letās be honest here, that is what it was.
So when the price of eggs is $18, and your Latino neighbors have been deported or moved to some fād up ācampā to pick the strawberries none of you will pick, and your miscarrying wife has to contend with sepsis before sheās allowed to have an abortion, and your autistic child is unable to get the early intervention they desperately need, please remember what it really was that you voted for.
Because I promise you the rest of us will never, ever forget.

This is a fantasy chart that doesn't record thermodynamic reality, it's basically a game of simplified inputs overlaid over the real complexity of energy, materials, and biophysical throughput. To say nothing of human flourishing.
Simply: the Garrett relation shows that GDP is a near 1:1 measurement of energy and material use, which UN reports confirm is still very much coupled. Wealth extracted from the system based on energy/exergy and requires energy, labor and minerals/materials. Reducing the whole of externalities to carbon is like peeping through a toilet paper tube into a tornado.
GDP goes UP but its also a poor correlate of life expectancy and wellness by any holistic measure, it's a measure of STUFF, pure volume without a statistical coupling to flourishing, especially with such a stark distributional deficit between poor and rich who receive the majority of benefit. Notice on that chart there is no account of LIFE in any form, biodiversity (in decline) species extinction rates (1000x evolutionary rate), or actual poverty reduction. Cureent accounts use a piss poor $2.15 a day line, raise it to $4 (a "real povwrty line" and 40% of humanity is extremely poor, with inequality increasing in 70% of countries. Raise it to $10/day and 80% of human life is below the water line. Extreme poverty kills 18 million every year from lack of basic necessities, the greatest holocaust in the history of man-- all of this is a "negative externality" to our economics, it ain't on the chart.
Economists mistake GDP as a proxy for human life, and leave out animal and plant life which has declined 70% in 50 years, and all life sypport systems on the planet are in decline--not exaggerating-- topsoil depleted, water cycle disrupted, carbon sinks not absorbing carbon with key sinks like the Amazon now a net emitter.
This is a simplistic narrative that conceals the actual reality of complex system dynamics, the biosphere or planetary boundaries (6 of 9 are PAST TIPPING POINTS) and the thermodynamics underlying economy and planetary wellbeing.
It's a fantasy that is going to crash into the hard physics and biology. It already is.
Bad news: this chart is at best a delusion, at worst a lie. It's a virtual reality game overlaid onto nature and complex energetic systems.
Good news: we have the science to unfuck economics and create dynamic thermodynamic accounting systems to fix it and realign with the biosphere and the human being. We can create new lines and make them go to the moon š

40% of global shipping is simply about carrying oil, gas and coal around, to burn them and then do the same again
A world without or with little fossil fuels has an enormously lighter footprint on Earth - starting with zero need for 40% of the shipping infrastructure

Ladies and Gentlemen, that two Russian Oligarch's helped Musk purchase Twitter/X there is no debate.
Their names are Petr Aven and Vadim Moszkowicz. Look them up.
Both have strong political and economic ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Both men have also been subject to Western sanctions due to their associations with the Kremlin amid the ongoing war in Ukraine.
Since his acquisition of the platform, Musk has been outspoken regarding his views of Russia as well as the ongoing war, at times calling for the U.S. government to withhold aid to Ukraine.
You may not want to accept this, but Russia has declared war on the United States of America.
There are 600 known Russian assets in the United States, some of whom are sitting members of Congress. It's important to note that the Justice Department is fully aware of their identities. I repeat: The United States Justice Department knows who they are.
The Justice Department has chosen to do nothing during the run-up to the most important election in modern history. Let this sink in.
A Nazi Rally was held at Madison Square Garden tonight, nine days before the election, held by the Republican Presidential Candidate Donald Trump.
Now is a good time to remind you, for the third time:
There are 600 known Russian assets in the United States, some of whom are sitting members of Congress. It's important to note that the Justice Department is fully aware of their identities.

His claims his proposed nuclear solution for the NEM is cheaper & cleaner than AEMO's ISP, but it is all based on lies.

Why is Texas building 65 GW of solar and 30 GW of batteries when we need constant 24/7 power?
Because WE DON'T NEED CONSTANT 24/7 POWER.
We need 34 GW on April 30th at 5 a.m. and 86 GW on August 10th at 6 p.m.
Solar + storage provides cheap summer capacity and cheap MWh. That's what the grid needs. Those summer afternoons are expensive. Solar + storage is a cheap way to capture that value.
Solar + storage is profitable. It provides generation when and where the grid needs it.
That's why people are building it.
Lots of it.
