we must plow $1B into generating new fiction in the style of Iain Banks. AIs just seamlessly woven into The Culture, being chill, having fun names, cracking jokes.

Excited to join @ezraklein to talk through what happened in 2024. There's a turnout story this cycle, but not the one we're used to talking about. With less-engaged and less-likely voters becoming more Republican, a larger turnout meant a more GOP electorate.

This tweet was behind a "may contain offensive content" warning... always click through that warning when you're feeling emotionally solid enough for the actual hateful stuff. It seems to hide a lot of important voices too.
Anonymity may be more correlated with more severe abuse, but jettisoning anonymity/pseudonymity hurts marginalized voices too.
