Of all the great men and women that we grew up hearing of, drawing inspiration from, and looking forward to work with, SC Pheroze was the ultimate colossus of legal practice. His life is the hallmark of what it means and takes to live a full life doing the right thing.
We are not only broken by his death, but equally lost in the void his absence will leave in the profession. Though he gave us all that we could have asked for of a personality of his stature, we will deeply miss his presence, exuberance, and pleasant character. b
As a legal fraternity, we honour a mentor and living example for each of us. May the gifts of literature and Jurisprudence he left us with serve not just a reminder of who he was but as a guide to who we must purpose to be.

Dr. Fredrick Kyalo Manthi, a Kenyan paleontologist and Director of Antiquities, Sites, and Monuments at the National Museums of Kenya, has been elected to the U.S. National Academy of Sciences. This honor recognizes his significant contributions to vertebrate paleontology and human evolution research. He is the only African scientist elected in 2024 and just the second Kenyan ever to receive this recognition.
